agrood terms, and to operate as from the first day of pril, 1931, or such later dato as may be agreed, all the fixed station commercial radio-electric services of the Colony now operated by the Government of Hong Kong and for this purpose to take on agreed tcrms a sub-lease of such portion of the Government Radio Office and to purchase at an agreed valuation or rent at agreed terms all such plant and stocks of wireless stores as ar required to carry on the Hong Kong Radio Services acquired
by the Company.
ARTICLE 13.
The Company undertakes to make good to the Government
any increase in the cost of pensions or gratuities incurred by
reason of the abolition of office or by rcason of the
termination of Government employment of these officers whose services will not be required by the Government after this
Agreement comes into operation.
ARTICLE 14,
The Company shall forthwith give to the Post Master General of Hong Kong notice of any interruption for a period
exceeding twenty-four hours of any of its systems of
communication with any place. The Government will normally
receive press broadcast transmissions at its own stations
but in the event of breakdowns the Company shall, if
required by the Government receive the same and hand them
over to the Government.
ARTICLE 15.
The Company undertakes that it will replace its alien
cmployees in the Colony by British employees, as and when
found practicable to do so and undertakes also that as
regards all new appointments no person shall during the
continuance of this grcement be employed by it in the
